So thats what a Ditch Witch looks like.

Mid American energy arrived today to hookup our gas and electric. Using a Ditch Witch they dug a 2 foot trench from the street to the house. They then tapped the gas line and hooked up the gas pipe. The electrical cable was dropped into the same trench and they called the cable tv and phone company to see if they also wanted to put their lines in the same trench. The cable tv was installed, but the phone company never made it. After hooking up the electrical to the service panel in the house they disconnected the temporary electrical utility pole. The service panel had been installed earlier by the electrician. Also, the gas riser bracket was installed earlier by myself. This is a bracket attached to your foundation and used to clamp the gas line. Normally this is installed by the plumbers bu Mid American provided the bracket and a set of instructions so I thought I may as well do it and save a few $$$. Of course Ian got to ride on the Ditch Witch.
