| April 29, 1996: | Official Ground breaking, grab your shovel (snow shovel that is). |
| May 1, 1996: | The bank gives us money (to bad they want it back someday). |
| May 3, 1996: | We actually break ground. |
| May 6, 1996: | The storage trailer arrives, what a monster! |
| May 6, 1996: | The Concrete Footers are poured. |
| May 14, 1996: | Wilderness Log Home lumber trucks arrive. |
| May 17, 1996: | Putting up the concrete wall forms. |
| May 21, 1996: | Concrete Walls poured. |
| May 30, 1996: | Installing drain tile. |
| June 3, 1996: | Back-filling with the excavator. |
| June 5, 1996: | Putting fill inside foundation. (See the flying skid loader!) |
| June 6-7, 1996: | Rough in foundation plumbing. |
| June 14, 1996: | Pouring concrete flatwork. |
| June 18, 1996: | HURD Windows Delivered, nothing broken. |
| June 24, 1996: | Builders begin framing. |
| June 26, 1996: | We have walls. (Our first meal in the new Kitchen). |
| June 28, 1996: | Flooring built in preparation for suspended concrete ceiling. |
| July 8, 1996: | Great room beams are craned into place. |
| July 9, 1996: | Work begins on second floor. |
| July 11, 1996: | Suspended concrete ceiling poured. |
| July 15, 1996: | Rafters and dormers. |
| July 16, 1996: | Logs delivered!!! |
| July 18, 1996: | Great Room Rafters. |
| July 21, 1996: | Cleaning mold, mud & mildew from front porch logs. Its a dirty job but ... |
| July 24, 1996: | Chimney chase framed up. |
| July 26, 1996: | Roof sheeting and front porch completed. |
| August 1, 1996: | Rear deck and screened-in porch framed. |
| August 8, 1996: | Roof shingling begins. |
| August 13, 1996: | Fireplace insert installed. |
| August 17, 1996: | Windows installed and we got to help. |
| August 21, 1996: | We start to log (see it really is a LOG home). |
| August 22, 1996: | Water hookup complete. |
| August 23, 1996: | Backside of house logged. |
| August 24, 1996: | Quality checking construction and building retaining wall. |
| August 30, 1996: | South side logged and starting the front side. |
| September 1, 1996: | Scheduled moving day (we couldn't move yet so we had a deck party instead). |
| September 2, 1996: | North side and garage logging. |
| September 10, 1996: | Ductwork finished, furnace installed and plumbers start rough-in. |
| September 11, 1996: | Power company connects the electrical and gas. |
| September 12, 1996: | Do-it-your-selfers start installing the electrical wiring. |
| September 13, 1996: | Exterior Logging completed! (Best picture) |
| September 17, 1996 | Installing communications wiring (learn about "Smurf" tubing). |
| September 21, 1996 | Friends help with garage doors. |
| September 26, 1996 | Inside log stairs. |
| September 29, 1996 | Finally sold the old house, but we had to be creative to do it! |
| October 2, 1996 | Finished deck and 4 season room. |
| October 5-6, 1996 | Friends help insulate and finish electrical wiring. |
| October 8, 1996 | Knotty pine ceilings. |
| October 11, 1996 | Started inside stair railings. |
| October 16, 1996 | Septic tank and field |
| October 16-18, 1996 | Dry-wallers hang sheetrock. |
| October 28, 1996 | Gas hooked up and furnace started. |
| October 29, 1996 | Dry-wallers start taping and muding. |
| November 1, 1996 | Close on old house and extend construction loan. |
| November 9, 1996 | Moving Day! At least for our furniture and stuff |
| November 15, 1996 | Installed bath vinyl, toilet, showers and laundry sink. |
| November 16, 1996 | We move in!!!!!! Bedrooms in the basement. |
| November 23, 1996 | Upstairs bedrooms' logged. |
| November 28, 1996 | Lots of painting and atic stairs installed. |
| December 3, 1996 | Wood floors installed upstair's bedrooms (we move out of the basement). |
| December 9, 1996 | Installed 6 panel pine doors in bedrooms. |
| December 10, 1996 | Stove, microwave and dishwasher delivered. |
| December 11, 1996 | Bathroom vanities installed. |
| December 14, 1996 | Some kitchen cabinets set. Margaret has first dinner party. |
| Decmeber 18, 1996 | Deer in the backyard for breakfeast. |
| December 25, 1996 | It's a white Christmas in our new log home! |
